What is Cicim?
Unlike traditional kilims, Cicim rugs are unique for their distinctive texture, featuring a different look on the front and back. A third decorative thread is woven into the warp and weft, creating raised patterns that resemble hand-embroidered designs. Typically made with sheep wool, some Cicim pieces also incorporate goat hair threads for added texture and durability.
The result is a one-of-a-kind masterpiece that reflects the rich textile heritage of Anatolia.
